Alsatian recipe postcards are illustrated postcards that feature typical recipes from the Alsace region of eastern France.

They are often charmingly and colourfully illustrated with pictures of traditional Alsatian dishes such as sauerkraut, tarte flambée, baeckeoffe, kougelhopf, bredeles and other cakes and desserts. The illustrations are often accompanied by detailed descriptions of the recipe, including ingredients, preparation steps and cooking times.

The recipes on the postcards are typically Alsatian and reflect the culinary traditions of the region. The dishes are often prepared with local ingredients, such as fermented sauerkraut, fromage blanc, munster and riesling, and are prepared in a way that highlights the flavours and textures of each ingredient.

They are also and often accompanied by inscriptions, such as greetings or personal notes. The inscriptions can be in French, German or English.
